Default WELLLL WELLLLL WELLLLL look whos back!

BOY has it been some time since ive been on here.....and do i have some huge news on my truck....yep still got it after all this time and it has way more upgrades then before, and its getiing a complete overhaul as we speak!

so last time i left it was 5.5 inches plus a 2 inch leveling kit on 37s and half ton axles, well not anymore. its now up 10 inches on 1 ton Dana 80 and Dana 60 axles out of a 97 cummins 5 speed, with 4.10s and on 38x15.5 inch tires....for now

truck is in the process of getting completely torn apart, its all primered and ready for my nice new candy apple red paint. getting a custom 14 inch lift with 3 inch body and put on 44 inch boggers, custom long arms and crossover heim joint steering. probably 4.88 gears with lockers front and back.

possibly down the road a nice procharger setup.

im trying to get it all done and setup for carlisle next year, i went this year without my truck unfortunately and saw some pretty sick stuff there and im more then ready to be bringing my truck there next year. im going to have to get some pictures of it before the tear down with all the other changes i made to it and then keep a nice little picture album of it getting all torn apart and redone and keep up to date on here....and not be a stranger again its been quite some time.

so if theres any original members here who still remember me and everything let me know....miss talkin to ya guys see ya later!

You may wanna go deeper than 4.88 with 40's.

yeah i was thinking 5.13s but with my 38s i have now with only 4.10s i can sit there and powerbrake my truck like its on stock tires lol....i dont want to go to low and not be able to be decent on the highway still...especially for that 3 hour ride to carlisle next year =p im undecided on gearing yet its between 4.88 and 5.13

Wow, yer right.... 4.88's and 40 inch tires look to be within like 30 RPM of stock tires/gears..... Interesting.

I would still be tempted to go with the 5.13's, simply because of the additional weight of the tires you will be trying to move.... Only bumps engine speed by about 150RPM at 65MPH. Looks like a good compromise to me.

yeah there definitely going to be a bit heavier, and 150 rpm isnt to bad at all. i still have a bit to decide lol chances are im going to get all nervous and be afraid of underpower around town and shoot for 5.13s haha

sounds like you need to play around with the grimmjeeper. there was only 124rpm difference at 65mph between 4.88 gears and 5.13 gears.
