Default End of the road

Well tonight was the death of a local legend around here.. lol the Ram is officially out for the count and wont be coming back... I classify it as a catastrophic failure... So ill be upgrading to the old mans Hemi for the time being. Got my eye on a few 3rd gen cummins around here... Probably gonna either part out what i can on the truck and scrap the rest...

On my way home from the store doing about 50 down the one back road everything just let loose.. Came to a screeching halt on the side of the road wondering what had just happend. Then i saw my driveshaft slide past me and said to myself " Ohh well that aint to bad!" Then i got out and saw the rest of the carnage. At first I was pissed but then i realized that it wasnt such a bad thing since I knew the truck wasnt gonna last forever.. Just made my plans take a little bit of a jump start on gettin a new ride...

Anyway onto the pictures.. since i know how everyone here likes them so much lol..

First is my driveshaft that I had to fetch out of a ditch about 20 yards away from the truck.

Then heres the rest..

Well i went through 3 tranfer cases and this was the 4th. I had been having problems with the nuts coming loose that held it to the tranny. So a few months ago i took them all off and used a bunch of loc-tite on them. Never came loose after that. Wasnt hearing anything to suspect something was wrong. It basically just blew apart. Not sure exactly

finish fixing your ram charger and it will be reliable, it will get horrible gas mileage but very reliable.
