selling the truck
Personally I'd go for a 1994-96 Impala SS or a Caprice (especially a 9C1) and make it look like an Impala. The LT1 is a good engine IMO- only issues are with the distributor (opti) but if you take care of it and keep the waterpump from dripping on it it'll last a long time. My dad has a 96 Imp- average mpg is in the low 20's. Last time I drove it to Tennessee I was getting 26mpg cruising at 80. Drove it through Deal's Gap also lol. Does pretty good for a big car
Indeed fast. It's the fastest inline 4 that dodge ever made. With a reprogrammed PCM, and the rest stock, should be able to do upwards of 400 hp. Bad thing is FWD, not AWD. Off the line they are slow but from a roll can hang with sports cars 3 times its price. Still a 14 second stock car off the production line. Plus it's dodge baby!!!
well I bought the aurora , its too nice to pass up under 1300 from poor condition . gets 22 mpg for the v8 . and power is there actaully put me back in my seat when it hit 3k lol
if I get a good deal on my truck its gone if it was a quad cab I would keep but with baby coming I could use the money in my saving and get a newer ram within a couple years

For a cheap good on gas car, I would look into a Honda. Run forever and are very efficient. The biggest pain in the *** thing with any Honda is they like to eat wheel bearings. Wife has an 04 Accord, plenty of room, great car.
After I pay this truck off, I'm going to get a SRT-4, not sure if it will be the neon or the caliber. I'm Dodge for life. If I can afford it I would love the SRT-8 challenger...

You ain't lyin'... My step-dad had a mid-90s Civic and I did wheel bearings in the thing twice in the five years he had it.
My vote would be for a modest size, 4 door, 4 banger import though. I had an '89 Sentra wagon that was my work car when I had my business. EVERYBODY who worked for me drove the hell out of it. Had 155k on the clock in '96 when I bought it and when I sold it with the business in '04 it had 320k on it and it still ran like a top, burned a bit of oil, and took a new clutch and two water pumps and needed a timing belt while I had it, but you couldn't kill the thing. Side note, I bought it for $2150 and sold it for $1300 - eight years and 165,000 miles later. Can't beat that cost of ownership!!!
