i was thinking the same thing at first, then i went to dodge's website and figured it out.

 

came of a '12 3500, I have to go pick up some 1/4 plate to build some L brackets out of.

 

why a 4th gen bumper? the newer they get, the weaker they get!!! go OLDER! Need like a 1950's bumper on there!!!

 

OR modify an I-beam like I did for my bumper!

While your at it putting the 2012 HD bumper on, go ahead and go all out and throw some 3rd gen 02-05 Headlights in there as well.


Anyways, Here's my 99 the day after I bought it in April 2009. Only 96,000 miles. Bought for $3,850.











When I bought the truck, the owner's wife insisted I took the ladder rack too that way it wasn't taking up space in their garage. I never put it on the truck, and decided to sell it. Believe it or not, some guy paid $500 for it.



Total investment in the truck at this point, is now $3,350.

I turned 16 in September 2009, got my license, and my second day driving to school a girl in my class backs into me.



Whole new fender = rust fixed on her insurance's dime.

Sold the Toolbox, for $200, added some bed rails for $40, total investment at this point, $3,190.





Then decided to add a Brush guard and tail lights.





Threw on a used roll bar and lights.



How she looks now.



She's up to 117,818 miles as of tonight.
Total investment.... not tellin' cause I'm pondering selling it. lol
