yes and no. i think the guy said it was a 543 stroker
. i think he said he pays about $20/gallon for gas since he has such a high compression engine. i think you also missed a few things.

543 strokers use a 440 block IIRC.
Other things as in the smushed front leaf springs and the crappy OEM headlights?

2nd gen trucks don't have leaf spring front suspension. that is a 1st gen frame with 2nd gen body which is why there is a 440 in it.

Well that truck may be a 1st gen frame, but there is a member here who put leaf spring front suspension on his 2nd gen ram....

since it has stablizer bars the stacked blocks and axle wrap is not an issue.
