^^^ Its not that bad Mark and it helps keep people safe/save lives that travel the roads. I don't expect many agree with it or understand it.

It prevents people from doing 'home made mods' that are inherently unsafe, and driving on the roads...... in some cases, this is a good idea, but, some places here in the states take it just WAY too far. If you have a rust hole, your vehicle will no longer pass inspection...... doesn't matter where, or how big.

Do you have to run winter rated tires up there? I think I read that somewhere, and the big lifted trucks looked silly because they had to run little tires since there aren't any big winter rated tires.

Put my leveling kit in this morning I think it leveled it nicely, installation wasn't to hard. I used coil spring compressors from the shop my dad worked at instead of lowering the axle more. I think it was a good $50 purchase.

Where Merc is, there is some areas that require them. Where I live no you can use whatever. I wish they would make it mandatory, Ive read a few studies now and each time it proves the more people with snow tires on their vehicles, the less accidents. Ill see if I can find some links. You wouldnt believe the amount of pople trying to go through winter with summer rated tires, or bald tires for that matter, and the amount of accidents it causes. Im using M/T's currently, but they have wicked siping and do great in the snow. I also know how to drive properly in snowy conditions, something many common folk around here can't seem to.

Blue Mopar - looking good!

I hear what you are saying. I was being a butthead only in good fun. I know and understand the arguements for both sides, and I always land on less government control being the better solution. Not trying to start an arguement haha.

Carry on, nice rigs everyone, especially Mark.

@ HeyYou

Rust up here must not allow the possibility of exhaust fumes entering the cab/body fail. Rusted through structural components fail. Fenders or quarter panels flapping in the breeze fail.

Yes we do in in our area it's the law, M+S or winter rated snowflake tire or carry tire chains. You bet we have lot's of big lifted trucks driving in the winter with small M+S or winter rated tires none of us care what it looks like what we care about is being safe on the road. This is the first year that a M+S tire has been included with the winter rated tire, always been a big debate as to weather they should be included. My op on that is NO they should not be included.

This just down the road from me.

No worries Mark I saw the "haha" lol. That debate has been around for a longtime, I also understand both sides. I took the route of if you are going to make me follow these laws I will and to the T's. Forbid if anything did happen and they tried to deny coverage, I could then throw all the paperwork in there faces.

Thanks Mark for the complement

Truck looks good Blue Mopar01

Hey Everyone,

I'm a Jeep guy, but I've gotten some great information from this site for my Dakota (now gone) and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can in regards to my new (to me) 1999 Dodge 2500 V10. I wanted something to tow my Jeep and I found this one for a decent price and it wasn't all rotted like many I found here in New England.
