That would be sick! And i know the feeling lol i been looking at my 01 the last 2 weeks wishing i could drive it, got half way thru my plenum fix before the snow started flying and i havent been back at it since...

I gotta give it you and your truck. I think I might look for a 1st Gen Cummings now that I see what a good one looks like. Trying to find one here in the rust belt might pose a big problem.

I love your truck! Very nice

bahahaha thanks! dana 60 front is going in, in the spring. gonna put the 70 back together, and sell it, and get a 60 rear instead, along with 3/4 ton suspension, and mounts.

tires will come next winter(hopefully sooner if i can afford it)

going out to plow yet ANOTHER driveway today! man i love this random income!

Yeah I'd only drive the 20 miles if only down to 15 psi and like 40mph or slower. lol Hopefully of your whole group there you could go in on good portable air compressor, like SMittybuilt.


Unfortunately I've got no worthy pics from yesterday wheeling really. We found a much better sledding spot, which was early on the route. Most of the road had got plowed (1st time ever in 12 yrs from a local friend) for forestry/logging reasons. Upper end had some much deeper stuff. Link to pics on that from someone else.

I did get to pull out a F150 about 50 yards down from us. He tried to barrel through the plow line. I heard him tryin and 10 minutes later asked for a pull. Yeah, my bad no pics or vid. I need to remember to mount my camera!! He had a chain ready and we swapped it out for my strap where long enough I was on the icy street. This was my first test of my bumper!!

From a dead pull, yanked him the first part, then dragged him b/c the driver front hooked on the bank. Went across the other lane to finally have him out. That was my wheelin fun of the day.

@Redneck: Why droppng the 70 for a 60?

@Wh1t3: Looks like a lot of fun! Of course a solid axle would land up front. My '95 has the 60 up front, so I would probably use that to start with, because I have it. I would really like something better though (non cad, high pinion, hell kingpins while I'm dreaming...) . I really like the idea of an NV4500 in a durango though just need a place to do this stuff, and a bit of money for fab tools/supplies. I have found 5.9 durangos on craigslist with good bodies for $1200 and even less sometimes. The size of a durango would be much better for the tight mountain trails I like to wheel. I would use minimal offset wheels to keep width reasonable under the smaller suv.
