Nope.... I've never seen a dealer keep a brand new vehicle, or any vehicle period longer than 2 years.

If that's actually what happened though, then cool.

When I sold cars at a Pont/GMC/Buick shop in Arizona in 04, we still had new 02's on the lot. Sometimes dealers were forced to take surplus inverntory form distribution. Big kickers on those units...when you could slam them!

Haven't been a piano player at a whorehouse yet.....

I got burned out working for 2 years running a department for a state goevenrment, so I took off for a while and decided to try auto sales for a bit (about a year) to decompress!

I wonder if it wasn't a lease. did they do that back then? 5 yrs sounds like a lease to me.
