650 For a running and driving truck? not bad considering that most trucks here are rusted out. You should see some of the S10's around here. like half the bed is gone.
Sounds like your mind is already made up so no since in telling you I would not go anywhere near that truck unless I though I could make more money parting it out or selling for scrap.

me too and my dads truck is a ticking time bomb ( 6 inch piece.of tread missing on the rear pass side ) and I can't find a decent trans for my ranger, which also needs a bit of work, so as long as this passes my dads approval, which is decently high...I'm getting it.

I took my 2500 4x4 with a stick home for $750. There are deals out there. That's cheap, yes, but it's not actually a good deal.

how does it make no sense? There's a 6 inch diameter hole in the tread where only the steel belt is showing. Sure its not a great deal but its better than most around here. Plus I need something within a few days I don't have months to wait for the right deal

Shoot the only way I can find a 2500 4x4 under a grand is if it's been rolled and drivetrain removed (looked at one yesterday), and I was contemplating it lol

It makes no sense that your dad would drive around with a tire like that if he had high vehicular standards.

All I'm saying is a $600 truck that's barely worth $600 isn't a good deal. If you need it now though... Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do. However, if you do buy it, do yourself a favor and don't invest anything into it repair wise. Drive it into the ground, then let it RIP.

He was out if work for a while and can't afford new tires quite yet. His standards aren't high, he just knows what is really a pos and what isn't. He has another car so I'm only driving this because my truck is broken. It should be sitting
