Default Looking at a 95 Ram - What to look for?

My dads a mechanic so he'll help me a great deal when we look at it..but for 650 i expect something to be wrong, as long as it runs and drives good!

What do you all think?

I hate the red interior but i also hate automatics...especially dodge and ford automatics. my dads 04 cummins has no reverse and my ranger has no reverse and won't go over first gear, so i'm done with autos.

Not really familiar with anything on these trucks btw so...yeah!

Have "DAD' take his OBD 1 scan tool with him.get a carfax,Vin# number for dealer service record, for all the re-calls and service records.Interior color can be changed a good time for your personal touch and the price is right.Use it for a learning tool.Even if it is old like mine Many worthy mods can be done.Have fun with it...........

not gonna waste my money on a carfax for a 650 dollar car!

How reliable are the 5 speeds in these trucks? i know i had a ram 2500 v10 i bought off my grandma and trans went in it...

came acrossed it because i wanted a stick ranger but the mpg can't be that much worse. and the long bed is so much more useful! plus i like chicken lights

That Ok.Do pull Vin# and CJD will pull the service record for free. But scan tool for sure, find the gremlins before S#$%^ happens....The tranny and clutch, that depends who the owner is and how they used the truck. If you can get that history it can sometime tell you what to expect for repair..

The V6 is a DOG in those trucks, I had one and its terrible. About the same gas mileage as a V8 as the engine struggles to pull the damn things. Looks like a complete rust bucket too, stay away is my vote. Find something else. Lol

For $650 though, not bad. Make a good work/run around truck, or a great parts truck if anything

I agree price is right for a part truck but any more rust and it might not pass inspection, looks like the cancer is really bad...

Inspection? HAHAHAHAHA. you're funny. we don't have those up here.

Can be good or bad. depending...on the situation.

650 For a running and driving truck? not bad considering that most trucks here are rusted out. You should see some of the S10's around here. like half the bed is gone.
