Not South. It is northeast of Austin about 40 miles or so. I love the Hill Country and have been looking for a reason to locate there. I plan to do some wildlife photography once I get settled. I think the owner would allow it, especially if I enlarge a few and print on canvas and give him a couple of them.

Won;t go to the westside like Fredericksburg. Women like to SHOP there! It would cost me a fortune, and they do not specialize in classic car parts!

I think I've spent more money down on the riverwalk than over in the hill country.I don't know how women can spend so much money on nothing. Than again they print money everyday so might as well spend it.

Just heard from my agent. They accepted my offer on the house. Now for the hard part....writing the big check and hoping it is good and getting al the tons of crap boxed up and moved.

Trying to find out about utility hookups and such right now. I will be sooooo glad when this is over! The good news....the job here n Austin is great. And working at this level, I am not dealing directly with victims of sexual assault, family violence and/or child abuse, so I am less traumatized on daily basis. Work involves Technical Support (like troubleshooing - Management and Leadership devleopment, contract managemet, etc) and Pubic Policy (legislation).

So I finally received a copy of the lease today - and qucikly rejected it. I will nOT sign a lease that liimits me to 2 vehicles on the property.......... It ahd four other issues or concerns. Marked up and sent back, and got ownre approval about 4:00 this afternoon (about 2 hours after getting utilities turned on). So tomorrow is sign (and deliver cashier's check). Going out to house to get keys and gate codes....and I think my wife is going to make me help clean the house before we move in.

Will be loading a truck and moving furniture next weekend! (ever try to rent a U Haul on the first weekend of a month - without prior reservation?)
