Shoot, a bottle of peppermint Schnapps would be enough to keep me warm for a couple of days.

i'm not too worried about it. i could probably have it all fixed up in less than an hour. plus i don't feel like drinking gas if i don't have to.

Girl I was once engaged to lives on Long Island, 1 1/2 blocks off the beach. They are forecasting an 11' storm surge there and her house is 8' above sea level. Not good math there. Like me, she's now divorced and by herself in the house. She's up there shatting bricks...

As for me, I'm 1 1/2 miles off the water on the east coast of Florida. Been there done that about half a dozen times now. I've double strapped the roof, have hurricane shutters on all windows and doors and installed a 160 mph wind rated garage door. Not to mention I have a 17kW generator that will run the entire house including central heat & air for 21 days on a full tank. I was a boy scout when I was a kid, LOL...

its kinda just getting started here in Connecticut. the wind is only bout 45mph they sent us home from the shop at lunch theyve closed all the highways theyre expecting parts of I95 to get flooded because of the 11 foot surge they evacuated all the towns on the coast line because of long island sound. im in my new two bedroom with little food and no candles. just moved lol. i got beer cigarettes and a bag of green. power still on but people in surrounding towns have started losing their power.
