A little while ago I braved hurricane, err... tropical storm... super storm? Sandy to work on my truck. There was a light sprinkle/mist and a few 5mph wind gusts for the entire 10 minutes I was out there.
Well we survived and had power for most of the night. We did lose a big *** 70' cedar tree and like a 100' pine. Luckily the wind was blowing away from the farmhouse and vehicles, no damaged to either but a few blown off shingles. Gotta get up on the roof soon and fix them, don't want any water damage.
The coast up here got hit pretty hard. Looks bad for them.
we are all ok here too. lost power for like 10 seconds. the big ole pine out back is still standing tall. deffinitely heard a few trees hit the ground last night, but couldnt figure out where.
neighbors fence got knocked down, but thats about it.
Spoke too soon, wife's car had a 60 ft pine tree fall on her car... Nice, just got done cutting it off... Insurance company is coming out to look at the damage
