Seeking a Backup Truck
I know you want the low miles of something newer Dub, but a 4.0 in a Comanche will run for over 300k when treated right. You might actually want to look into one... They are sweet little trucks, I have always wanted one.
Here's the 88 Comanche I owned. 4.0 inline 6, 5 speed. It was nice, the trans was crap, made by Peugeot and had to be replaced once. Other than that, bulletproof.

The Ranger I mentioned previously was found to have a coolant leak, which the seller is fixing. The other issue is that it's a 4.0L and not a 3.0L.
I found another 4x4 Ranger with a 3.0L, but the price is super, super, low.

I am suspicious as to why.
Meanwhile, I'm considering a pretty nice 2003 Taco with 159K one the clock: http://www.bensautosales.com/2003-To...6/Details.aspx

Makes the $9500 I paid for my 55k 08 Ram look like a steal. BTW, we just did our first fill up and with a bunch of 75 mph freeway miles going to Phoenix, 21.91 mpg. So, I'm confident with the almost all 37 mile, two-lane, 65 mph commute between our new house and town where she works, she should easily reach 23 mpg. As I mentioned in the 3rd gen section, the V6/6 speed manual is a perfect commuter truck.
