Hello, I recently acquired a 2wd nv4500 transmission and do not need the bellhousing, so I am going to list and sell it. It is supposedly out of a 1998 Dodge truck and I was wondering how you tell what motor the bell housing is for?

 

If my recollection serves me right that bell housing should fit the v10 or cummins.

 

So the bell housing should fit the v10`s and cummins. Any ideas on the v8`s? Thanks, I`m really clueless when it comes to dodge stuff.

 

If it has a small notch on the top passenger side, it's for a v8 Magnum, otherwise it's V10/Cummins.

 

I learn something new everyday, I didn't know they put the nv4500 behind the v8's. I might have to start the hunt for one.

 

I have the V8/NV4500 combo.


If the bellhousing has 4 bolts going into the block, it is for a Cummins/v10.



If it has 5 bolts going into the block, it's a V8 part. Also the Notch like Hahns said.



If it is a v8 piece, I might be interested in buying. PM me if it is.

 

My dream is to drop a NV4500 in behind my 360.
