We're Screwed.
6-7 dollar gas that's laced with 20% ethanol that we can't afford that will only work in the engines in a new 25-40 thousand dollar vehicle that we can't afford. And at the same time we won't be able to save any money because we'll be giving away all of our saved money to the parts stores to replace components on our paid-off engines that are in contact with the ethanol laced fuel.
With me looking to buy a house that's 7.5 miles from work I might need to look into dusting off the old bicycle.

Only real problems they have with ethanol is the fuel lines, and if you replace them with good lines, they'll be fine.
you'll be needing a hotter spark, too.. something in the 45~60k volt range..
The GOP has a lock on the house and the Senate is (so far) split 51/45 with the Dems in control. The news reports I heard this morning said the margin in the popular vote was 2 million votes.
Harry Reid has yet to abide by the Constitution and have the Senate pass a budget.
Unemployment is still very high (the jobs report from October was doctored as it didn't count California) and the number of people who dropped out of the workforce is alarmingly high.
The Benghazi incident will most likely gain traction with committee investigations, not to mention the Solyndra scandal.
Once the Affordable Health Care Act provisions start to kick in is when things will get really interesting.
2014 will be an interesting election.

Glad I live out in the desert. Now that he has "more flexibility", his War on Arizona is going to be spread to every non-liberal state. It may not be immigration he and his DOJ cronies use, but get ready for the fudge packing. It will be the EPA, ATF and FWS that he uses to batter every non-capitulating state.
Now, the 64K question is....what are the roadblocks that will pop up along the way and how far down the road are we? I guess it depends on how much of an optimist you are.
