Same here. I've hacked on tires with knives (not maliciously), and it would take a very powerful man to reach around to the inside of the tire and make that cut.

are those brand new tire? if so you might want to talk to the shop that you bought them from. that might be covered as a road hazard or possibly a defective tire.

Since you're in Canadia, I would surmise that your truck was attacked by an angry beaver.

@Unregistereduser- I have no idea, i found it odd on the inside of the tire too but i cant understand how a rock or something does that without me noticing.

I agree that its highly doubtful that the tire damage was caused be an individual. It looks like the belt is separating.

Maybe thats why the tires were being sold. Just wasnt as bad and didnt notice anything wrong when you bought them.

I don't deny the vandalism of the truck with the scratches and bedliner being snapped, however like Unreg stated, it is tough as hell to tear apart the inside of the tire like that.

I also agree with kejobe, I think the tires already had a structural issue, maybe somehow you clock the control arm with it and it tore.

So many possibilities here. But human vandalism I don't think is one of them.

It was my rear driver side one, if that can help clear some issues up. I think the easiest thing is just to move on from it. Anyways can i fit 15" rims on my 01? Ive been digging around and cant see a thing on it here. I found these and it seems to be the only thing i can afford at the moment. http://peterborough.kijiji.ca/c-cars...AdIdZ427920167

IIRC, yes...BUT, you might have to grind the capiler for 15s to fit. Im not 100% sure if thats all though.

I have scratches like that running down both sides of my truck from tree branches.
