Default Seafoam TRANS TUNE

Went to the local parts house to get some oil, filter, oil pan gasket. I figured I pick up my monthly can of Seafoam, when I noticed a can of Seafoam Trans Tune, I quickly read how it frees up gunk in the tranny, and could solve some shifting issues, so decided to purchase it. I poured it in before leaving the parts house. Has anyone used this product before? I couldn't see where it would hurt, it was reddish in color similar to tranny fluid, only a lot thinner in texture. I normally have shifting issues at a cold start, so once she cools off I will see if this stuff works

It breaks loose the assorted crud that builds up in your trans, allowing it to circulate freely.... not a good idea really. If used on a regular basis since new.... might be ok, but, on a trans that hasn't been VERY well maintained, it's probably a can of "you need a rebuild now".......

Thanks for the insight, luckily enough mine has been rebuilt about 5000 miles ago, I don't think I need to worry too much then.

With that few miles on it, unless you live in a VERY adverse location, you prolly really don't need it.
