thanks but but no swaping (yet) lol i never new there was this "option" in the second gens untill i droped the trans and t-case to change the throw out bearing in my 02 and for the life of me couldnt find the vacuum plug till a quick glance at the axle proved why, but im constantly doing swaps of all sorts of drive train parts and need this info, so this also means an 02 t-case will not swap for prior years

It was not an "option" to remove the vacuum CAD in 02, it was standard. They just got rid of it I wanna say late year 01 and into 02.

So the bastard year trucks you have are the 98, 02, and 07?

In other thoughts, you could always go with the Posi-Lok.
they all in my sig, the 98 12v cummins, only made for 1/2 of a year, the 07 5.9 cummins, also made for 1/2 of a year, and the 02 3500 cummins witch split the 2nd-3rd gen models... its a disaster lol

But your 98 WAS a V10, so you found a 98 to swap stuff from? Or just rigged it all up?
I didn't know the 07 had the 5.9 for a half-year, thought they did away with it in 08 only. huh....

the 98 is all converted as if it came from the factory, it was done right, no one would ever know un less i told them, (minus the performance add ons) but that particular truck was only made for 1/2 year so finding all the correct parts was a real PITA, and the 5.9 ctd went away on 07.5 and went to the 6.7 only from there

oh and not only are they all rare trucks but they are all manual too, just makes it all that much more difficult

My buddy here pounded on this Chromo passenger side axle shaft (CAD delete) for 2+ years, which includes Rubicon Trail. Sold the axle a month ago.

Just for reference for ya.
