Ah, no wonder he needs $17k.... Tell him just to shop for a Diesel Excursion...

Isn't that what we tell everyone wanting to put a Cummins in their 1500 pickup on here

He is looking for either gas or diesel. Whichever he gets will still have a cummins dropped in it. hes already got the motor. He had it in a lifted chevy on 44's

For instance, the PO of my '93 must have dumped over $15k into it in mods alone, but sold it to me in awesome condition for only $8000. I think I could make money on it if I wanted, but I like it too much...

might not be pushing those numbers *yet* (my injector swap I want to do will easily do those numbers)

but there is a big difference between driving a 500hp single turbo truck, and a 500hp twin turbo truck.

that single turbo may be 580hp, but his power comes in so late in the rpm range that its almost useless for anything other than drag racing and sled pulling...

basically anything under 2500rpm his truck is gutless and smokey.

where a twin turbo truck gets its power far sooner in the RPM range making the power more useable. my power really starts to ramp up at 1800rpm and peaks at 24-2600rpm but its a steep climb in power from 1800 to the peak. my power can come in sooner as well if I floor it at a lower RPM and increase my injector duration. my duration is currently set at 1500. I can push it to 2600 and really push fuel through them and suck my injection pump dry.. but I have it backed off so I don't have to worry about air locking my injection lines and stalling. bleeding to restart after that in the middle of the road is not run...

I had to bleed mine recently to restart it

You don't gotta convince of the merits of a twin setup either, compounds are where its at. I really wonder how well that rig drives under normal situations...
