Default A good start to the new year....kinda...

well happy new year DF....thought id just share a little of what i did today

So as you all know my truck has been sitting for 8 months, got her on the road about a month ago and shes been doing great...so today i put her to the test...
I went ice fishing, and had a two place trailer with my snowmobile, ice shack, dogsled and alot of other fishing stuffm basically i was loaded full....my truck hauled that stuff with ease, im very happy with the way she did today until the problem hit...

So i brought the trailer and sled to my parents house because its alot closer to where i fish....well i drop off all my stuff and head home...i get on the highway and im cruisin at about 70 and then the rpms jumped to about 3K...lost o/d....but luckily she gave me a code...got a CEL code #15 which is no vehicle speed sensor signal....She kicked back into o/d and rode good for about 2 miles then the speedo dropped to 0 and jumped back out of o/d....shes stuck like that now....but thank god its only the sensor....i thought for sure i was going to lose my tranny today cuz thats never happened to me...needless to say im relieved on what it really is...but to let everyone know yes my tranny fluid is fresh and full...i know people might ask about fluid level

just thought id share

I fear I won't be too long from your position, I've got weird shifts from 1st to 2nd...

my truck keeps going in an out....but i figured it out its not my tranny or speed sensor, its the wires to my speed sensor....when i replaced it 2 years ago it came with a new wire loom...well my connections are loose in the butt connectors, but we have to much snow for me to mess with it now....i dont do much highway driving with it anyways

Keep in mind every time you get that engine flare (3000 rpm) you are burning the frictions.
