I recently bought an 86 w150. It has a 4 speed manual transmission. Having an issue engaging the 4wd. I think it engages in the transfer case because you can tell when it goes into low gear. It doesn't send power to the front axle. Any advice? Thanks.

Ya I'm new to this, automatic hubs.

 

Maybe not so automatic as they should be?

Jack up the front end, put the t-case in some flavor of 4wd. Spin one of the front tires, see what happens. (the other tire should spin the opposite direction, or, the driveshaft should turn, or some combination of the two.)
