Ok. I'll concede. It's Southwestern United States and my son won't shut up about walkie talkies

Either way, it's west from where I started. And I believe a beach near Yuma would be the gulf coast. It's still freakin cold compared to NC right now.

My wife's geographically challenged, too.
The nearest beach would be in Mexico on the Gulf of California, but the nearest in the US would be right around San Diego, CA.

It got all the way up to -2F here today after an overnight low of... oh, heck, I don't know where it bottomed out but it was chilly when I got up:
Looks like their forecast of -13F was just a tad off the mark there. At least they got closer on the high, only five degrees wrong.

The Pacific Ocean is less than 110 miles as the crow flies(in a strait line) and 125 miles from downtown Tucson. It's called Rocky Point(Porto Penasco) and it's called Arizona's beach front property. Problem is, you have a 60 mile drive through a 3rd world slum to get to it-on a positive note, it's all empty desert.

Yeah, back to normal temperatures. The last week was the 3rd coldest in SoAz history. Too much global warming.
