check the idler pulley. was a major issue of howling when mine went.

or it could be a couple coy dogs.

Check the Fan clutch, that is most likely the cause of the "Noise"

power steering pump is probably low or fliud has never been changed and finally broke down enough to make pump noises when cold.

mine makes noise every two weeks as the hydraboost line has a tiny hole in it and leaks >.<

my pump is about shot too...got a brand new hi-output pump and new lines...just too lazy to install them and its too f'ing cold outside!

The first one is a poor excuse. The second one, is an excuse I completely understand.
