Did aim4squrrels have an M1? Can't remember and he isn't here much any more, but he lives in an emission county here in TX.

Don't know whether to chance it or not! Hate to drop that kind of coin and have todo the annual intake swap!

Emission wise - would you think these would be the same?

I may PM aim and see if he ever had any issue. Hopefully his PM will notify him by e-mail.

Thanks.

I saw him on a few different Challenger forums you might try that route as well to contact him.

For emission's I would think the M1 will be better than the Hughes intake as the M1 was built as a mpi intake by Mopar. But that's just a guess I have no paper work to prove it. If WN passed a sniff test out where he is, to me that's darn impressive.

Here are my Smog Reports. Note that I'm running the R/T cam, 4.10s, and 35" tires!!

Only difference in these reports is the IM. The M1 shows better at low speed.....wrt to emissions output.

There's a couple things that slipped my mind when I went in for the M1 test. I forgot my evap was visibly broke from the Rubicon trail run in the summer. I never got a CEL so never thought of it. They care about the physical condition even when it's operating. I also had used an open element filter on the intake side of valve cover. I just neglected to tie it back into the air intake. Lastly...the M1 was painted red.

Got and answer from Aim. They didn't sniff exhaust in DFW area. So I may be good. He never had an issue on inspection.

A nice blue M1 would look sharp under that hood

I saw my name was mentioned!!!

I've had my M1 for about 8 months and have no complaints about it. I didn't notice any low end loss, but the 4.56's might help with that . Currently I have an oil burning problem and a rapidly dying transmission to worry about before I can give any actual performance details.....
