How patriotic of them huh?
thats is absolute bs! there are several FB pages giving away ar-15's and shotguns all in an effort to help the 2nd amendment.

in NH all you need is a concealed carry permit. if you dont have one, you can still carry, but not concealed, and not loaded.

there are quite a few states that i can cross into and still carry concealed because they recongnize NH's conceal permit, and vise versa. but none of them are any of the other new england states. go figure huh?

I have been sending emails to my reps all most everyday.

This is what is send out:

Hello Representatives,

I am writing you in concern of some of the shocking bills that are being generated at an alarming rate by some people who are mis-informed about gun control. I am a law abiding citizen, hard working family man, and also may I add that I supported you in your quest to represent US the people.

I would like you to say NO to an assault weapons ban; No to magazine bans; and most importantly I would like to to say NO to those who want to infringe on our rights in the US Constitution to bear arms. It is a right our fore fathers put in place to protect US the citizens against a tyrant controlling government in which we seem to have here in 2013. I would like to see your support on this as I have shown you mine. We can not let this happen.

Might I also add that I am a father of a beautiful 3 year old daughter and soon to be another daughter in the few months ahead. While Sandy Hook was a disaster and an unfortunate attack on innocent men, woman, and children. The facts are that this person was very sick and he got his hands on guns in which they should have been locked away and out of reach. This is a safety issue and should be treated accordingly. People NEED to take responsibility for their actions or lack there of as well. This is a HUGE problem we face in America today. I will also throw out there societal decay. Parents don't take the time to raise kids anymore and this problem/decay starts at home. Its called family values and knowing right from wrong.

I hope you take the time to actually read this, as I took time out of my life to right you in concern for my 2nd Amendment Rights in the Constitution of the United States of America. I would like you to sit down and respond to this, and let me know where you stand. I do not want a generic reply from a staff members of yours.

What I do want and think is a step in the right direction, is more gun control for those that are mentally ill and sick. Stricter background checks as well. I own firearms and have my license to carry a firearm in the state of Pa, the sole purpose is self defense for me and my family against criminals that want to try to inflict harm on me or my family.

I will close with this very important FACT. Criminals DO NOT obey laws, PERIOD. So passing bills to strip law abiding citizens the right to bear arms against these maniacs that do not follow or even care for the law or safety of US the people seems in fact... INSANE.

Thank you for your time in this matter. I look forward to hearing your response.

Bradley Ketner

Feel free to use/copy paste in your name and start sending emails and calling our representatives, they represent us the people, not the government.

Ya. It IS BS. I have been thrown off facecrook twice. Both times for something related to guns. Most goes by the boards, unless people complain about you. The OFFICIAL NRA site was shut down until thousands of people complained and fb put it right back with a half **** apology saying it was a mistake. Damn right it was a mistake! NH and MA aren't reciprocal. I certified my bro in law from NH and he has to re apply every single year, show up in person n Boston to renew. I told him don't bother. He can use my guns when he comes here to target shoot. assachusetts came out with an FID card back in the 70's you had to get to keep a gun in your home. It was supposed to be and I quote, GOOD FOR LIFE ! Well that all changed. Now it has to be renewed for $100 every 5 years I think it is. My daughter had to get one just to buy mace, but it's good for long guns in the home too. When she's 21 she can get her pistol permit. It's ALL a bunch of BS. That's why I bought 45 acres in Maine.

Ya but Vermont has no nudity law. I don't even want to think about one of those people carrying concealed. Ewwwww!

First thing I do when I get to my property in Maine is run a 20 round drum through my Saiga 12. Nobody even comes out to see what the heck I'm doing there. They don't want to know. I get a kick out of the locals. Deer season, they come into the general store and buy ONE 30 / 06 round.

I just looked at mine, it's 5 years also.

Thinking the way our country is headed is scary. The balance of hard working inteligent people has shifted to a minority, if I'm right and the ballance has shifted then I don't think its possible to reverse it. Stupid breeds stupid, the people who are interests in a free check are the people who control elections and they aren't going away, I'm convinced low income high pregnancy rates are what's put us where we are at . The only possible bonus to Obama care is birth control, if the lower intelligent population that is electing idiots stops spawning we will be in good shape.

Wait until someone gets arrested as a terrorist for teaching people about the Boston tea party, or your pastor is fined or put in jail because he discriminates against gay people who want to get married in his church. Gun control its just a small drop in the bucket, a vary important drop. We are screwed unless we can figure out how to shift the balance. My veiw on gun control is "Come Take It!"

Shift the balance? I've said it before, American Revolution Part 2. It's the ONLY way things will change, it won't matter if a Republican wins the next election, or if a Democrat wins the next election.

Major change only comes one way, forcibly.

I couldn't agree more with everything in this post. Also, based upon the last election it's fairly obvious that the hard working, intelligent people are quickly becoming outnumbered.

People on welfare should be given long term birth control and have to pass regular drug tests. I also wouldnt be completely opposed to taking away the right to vote if you are on welfare. I know this is getting into violating American rights, but these people contribute NOTHING to our society. Why should they get to decide who leads it? The federal government is rapidly becoming too big for its britches and meddling in things that are better left to state and local governments (like gun control).

My stance on gun control? Sure, you can have my guns....one bullet at a time.
