Dream come true for 1500 guys?
for one: it will have crap fuel economy because it will have a DPF, EGR, Catalyst, and DEF. (the new cummins will too so don't take that as me saying it will be any better)
plus its a 1/2 ton...1/2 tons are tonka toys. A workin mans truck is a 2500+
something that can actually haul some weight around without riding on bump stops.
you want a good efficient tonka toy, put an older 4BT in it like moochoff did.

I'm not trying to be an a$$ or calling anyone out, but I'll bet I work my 1500 lots more then some on this forum work their 2500's....
my engine works my 2500 plenty
and I've filled the bed completely full of wet douglas fir rounds from the mountain I ride dirt bikes on. gave the suspension a good squat but had plenty more to go before bottoming out which was good since I was quite a ways away from a paved road...

Do you want a medal or a chest to pin it?

Maybe this should be in the gibberish thread.....
The engine will be a 3-liter turbo V-6 from Italy's VM Motori, which has supplied diesels to Chrysler since 1992. It's the same engine that Chrysler had said it would offer in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, starting in May.
In the Jeep, the diesel is rated 240 horsepower and 420 pounds-feet of torque. By comparison, Chrysler's well-known Hemi gasoline V-8 is rated 360 hp and 390 lbs.-ft. in the Jeep.
Should be interesting. Anyone know anything about those motors?

I understand stewies point.. I agree with it.. Not saying you fellas with your 2500's dont work them.. But 95% of the guys I see around here ( around my town not on the site) with the 2500 cummins will never see any kind of load at all.. Its a waste of a truck.. Its the same people that always have their mirrors up for no reason... The same KIDS that hot rod the truck till its beat to within an inch of its life and they want to try and sell it for 20k... Its a waste of a good truck that should be working.. Not hauling your stuck up rich *** around... I miss the days of when mommy and daddy bought the little bastards BMW'S.. Now they just waste a workhorse of a truck just so they may be able to fit in with their little pansy asses....
Ok.. Just had to get that little rant out.. Carry on with your conversations..
