Definitely not. It's pretty well made, but it's no Road Armor Bumper.

Got the brackets mounted down. I put them at a downward angle, seemed easier to drill with the bracket resting on something. I can drill another hole so they are straight if that would be stronger.

I've got to get beefier bolts tomorrow, everything I had of good size was either too short or too long.

 

See if this makes any sense to you, don't know if it's possible that way but I thought I would throw it past you.

 

I'd have to admit, I'm slightly confused.

The vertical frame support is the only thing of any strength there is to secure that bracket to. And using the brackets they supplied that's the only way to bolt them down. I can run them straight, and not at a downward angle, that's no problem.

 

Nice guard. Time for some bigger lights now.

 

OK I will try to explain, flip the bracket end for end, tuck the one end inside the upright for the bush guard and make the heel of the bracket supplied go against the factory up right. Same spot as you are working now just reorientation of the bracket.

 

I thought that's what you were getting at but you replied before I could edit my post.

I'll check it out tomorrow and see what I can do.

Edit: I think that may work.

 

I wish I could see that in person would help lot's but you got the jest of it. Flipping it around will add some extra strength to it and clean it up just a little bit.
