Aren't they the same as the fuel line disconnects? Just a different size?
Could you have used a flare fitting, and just flared the end of the coupler pipe?
Unfortunately no, because the threads on the quick connect had special threads as well and neither my hardware store nor either of my parts stores had or could get anything to fit those threads.
And yes they are the same disconnects, just different tube sizes.

LOL he used a MIG so the slag has to be brushed off yet... Hence the look. He's been welding for at least 20+yrs. so I trust him entirely. He's also got the biggest welding shop in town.
so he mig welded it and you got slag to clean off it? don't think i have ever had to clean slag off stuff i mig welded. only had to clean slag off the stuff i flux core or stick welded.
He COULD have gotten it straighter! Knock off slag and double check for pinholes. Don't want that thing leaking!

Slag is common on straight steel welding with shielded MIG.

They can go both ways. On the stock EFI fuel system, there is no return line either..... Running from high to such low pressure though, I think a return style system may have been a better idea.
But where does the extra fuel go since he just has a spot for the fuel to go in from the pump and a spot to send it to go to the motor. The stock regulator drains the extra fuel out the bottom around where the fuel goes in.
