That's a good idea. It was like $140. Lol but then I would feel bad because my parents paid for the whole system. And where I'm from you can get in some trouble if you don't have a cat. Lol
Your asking for trouble cutting off your cat, especially if they have emissions testing. How old are you? Do you realize it is a federal offense to tamper with manufacturer installed pollution control equip? Not that others have not done the same thing. But just think of the attention your going to draw to yourself with a loud, obnoxious sounding truck.....I know, I know.....I was young once myself. First thing I did on my Camaro in high school was cut off the cat and run true straight pipe duals. Man I was soooo cool!!!
my truck is obnoxiously loud, and i have a cat! course that would probably be because im running 3" pipe from the collectors back, and that i have a built motor....
dont do it. been there, done that. its loud, it sounds like ***, and its illegal!
and this is why i'm glad they dont do testing in my city i cut the cat off and gutted it the day i got it.... with 45k miles on the clock i love how my truck sounds with a gutted cat and a super 44 flow master... its quiet on the inside of the cab and has a nice deep idle but it can be heard from about 100 yards away when i'm on it.

Depends on a lot of factors. My truck just passed last month, every single emissions device has been removed or tampered with in violation of federal law.
Doesn't make it legal, but it only matters if you're caught
