So as of right now i have a dual in single out magnaflow high flow cat running into a 2 1/2 inch pipe going to a y pipe and then two 2 1/4 inch pipes going out to 3 1/2 inch tips. My question is if i went and had the cat gutted, how much louder would it make it, and would it effect performance and make it run like absolute crap?? Thanks. Right now it is loud but at the same time not that loud. Kind of in between.

Quite frankly, how it will run will depend on how your truck behaves. Some don't mind it, others do and will flip a b1tch when you lop it off.

When you say lop it off do you mean hammer it down? Lol And yeah, I am quite aware of this. Haha. I know some guys that have true duals and when they floor it they go nowhere! LOL

 

What do you do to tree branches? You lop them off, you cut them off. Same thing.

As for the loud without power, my truck is quieter then half the other 2nd gen gassers in my area, and can out run them easily. Make sure you've got the power to the ground before you go and make your truck obnoxious.

 

Makes since now. Lol And yeah I bet. Its the back pressure and everything that gives it the power. Anyway, thanks for the info man! It really gave me an idea of what I want to do. I will check back and let you know what I end up doing. If I do gut it, I will probabaly put a glasspack or something on.
