ive spent close to 4k in the last 2 months, and have barely driven it since then(less than 100mi). new engine is a beast though!

good luck, and fix your plenum!!

I was gonna say, that's what you get for building up a whole new engine.

Fix the plenum and replace cat and o2's, and you just might avoid a cracked head.

wow this plenum talk is huge here. have not looked into the TB yet to see any oil but i think i may just fix it anyways and get it out of the way as preventive maint

Yup.

A blown plenum gasket and/or bad PCV valve can cause a lot of damage if left unfixed for too long.

And sadly even after that's fixed you still have to deal with the cat and pre-cat O2 sensor...

I have put like 5 1/2 maybe 6 grand into mine (yes the 1995 not my 1st gen) since buying it 2 years ago. Only about 15000 miles too. But it was in sad sad shape when I picked it up, and before the wreck had turned into a pretty sweet truck.

Don't just look down the throttle body, remove it. And read the "long azz" plenum thread if you have not already done so. It's the #1 issue that need fixin' on these trucks. That's why it always comes up.
