Default new sockets - affordable and nice

i know this belongs in the BS section, but i thought more people would see it here.

i needed a new set of sockets to replace my half lost mismatched mess. found these on ebay. from Eastwood. Made in China. very nice - affordable. complete set, no missing sizes. 6 point. $20 for each shallow set, free shipping, no tax. I like them so much I think I'll buy a set of deep wells.

SAE shallow-

Metric Shallow-

Eastwood tools are decent, but their not as chromed out as my $8 harbor freight socket sets

I wish I made enough money to buy some snap on stuff with my 50% discount

Bought this set last year on sale for 200$ on Fathers Day from Sears. It was enough to get me started at my current job.

Thanks for the review. I just bought a new impact wrench and was looking at the eastwood sockets on ebay also.
I think I'll buy a MM and an SAE deepwell set.

People.... Please stop buying made in China stuff. The companies that manufacture in the US need all the support they can get in today's world.

That's not always so easy to accomplish

You're both right. I avoid Chinese made products as much as possible, but it's not easy to do, especially if it's something you need right away. I've found the quality control to be almost non existent, and the stuff is marked up way too much by large stores selling this junk.
I'm not going too get on a rant about China. My wife's tired of listening to me, and I'm sure you guys would get that way too.

We'll need an update on those sockets after they've been put through the paces a few times, but I'm wishing you good luck with them.

Almost impossible to avoid Chinese products these days - so much of it comes to us through US companies which use raw materials from China, at a minimum. I'm even seeing food products that come from China (salmon and other fish products, for example), however, I try very hard to avoid those food products from China.
