Dump the exhaust right before the cat, it will be LOUD. I had to drive around that way for a couple of weeks...

Yes it does. But it would achieve maximum loudness (besides running no exhaust at all)

Yes, yes it does.

Every single truck I hear with an exhaust, I can tell if it's dumped or not.

Haha ya not dumpin it, I want it to sound good with a nice deep tone. Not raspy and soundin like its got a hole in the muffler haha. The setup on it now is stock with a glasspack and a turn down right after the cat. It all ends at the back of the cab. It sounds ok but it's gonna sound soooo much better when I'm done. Prob get some low end back pressure back too.

It will likely sound nice if you run 2.5 in pipe all the way to the back. Otherwise, like I said, it'll sound like ***.

Yup I'm runnin 2.5 inch pipe all the way. So shorites will let it flow better and give it some tone. New down pipes will let it flow better. Y pipe and fake cat will deffinitly open it up. And the Super 10 will give it a nice deep tone and give the system a lil back pressure for low end. Am I right? Oh and I'm doin CAI. So air will go in easy and come out easy haha.

Oh and I forgot, do you think with a straight through/catless set up it will sound kinda crappy and raspy then it would with a hi flow cat. Becuase I've herd the hi flows deepin the tone.

The reason the high flow cats deepen tone compared to the gutted cat is because the exhaust doesn't bounce around and resonate within the casing. You could weld a pipe into the "stock" cat and it would have a similar effect to a cat as it won't resonate quite as bad. The way I look at it, go with the fake cat, then if it sounds like ***, weld in an actual cat. Better for your lungs anyhow. lol

Ah I see what you are saying. I'm not going gutted cat. Im selling my stock one. Then since I'm doing 2.5 inch pipe, I'm buying a generic 2.25 inch straight through cat, sliding my 2.5 inch pipe through it, drilling a hole for the o2, then weliding the pipe to the cat. So it will be catless straight through, So with non fouler it wont throw codes, and when I go for e check and they mirrior it they see a cat but its not hahaha.
