Also check your plenum gasket. Poor towing performance can be caused by it leaking.

Ok so what is that and where is it? Because I have posted on here before about poor performance and people keep saying things about the plenum gasket. And how do you replace it?

Okay my truck has all of the symptoms that it listed above and I checked on how it said to and when I looked down in there it was CLEAN! So now I dont know what it is! Although mine doesnt burn oil constantly. Just when you floor it and when you start it up every once in a while. Lol

Burning oil when flooring it could be plenum or valve seals. A puff of smoke on start up is valve stem seals going out.

Could be your valves themselves too. Or rings.

Yeah I figured it was valve seals. lol
