Default Need ideas

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Off Road Edition with the 5.9L 360 in it. I'm happy with the truck, but I feel like I need a new project on it. Does anybody have any ideas on what I could do to it for a decent price and moderate mechanical skills.

Well if you haven't already, check plenum, pcv valve, pre-cat O2 sensor, cat, and timing chain.

What kind of project are you interested in, performance? looks?

The sky (or wallet) is the limit....

I'm leaning towards either a performance or looks project. I've already done most of the maintenance the truck is going to need in the next 6 months or so.

What would you recommend? I definitely wouldn't mind having a little more get up and go, the only problem is that I don't want to drop a lot of money when my truck is running just fine, I don't want to mess something up on the truck while upgrading, and I don't want to have it end up being a bigger project than anticipated and having my truck out of action for a while.

I would say to buy an SCT tuner, but they are kind of not available right now.
So after that, I'd say offroad y-pipe and Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers.

Okay thanks, I'll definitely look into that stuff.

If you're handy enough, either one of those can be done in a weekend.

Yeah both look simple enough from what I've seen so far.

Dunno if you have emissions down there in Houston-land so you might have to install a cat too, if so, go with a Magnaflow highflow.
