Default tire question.

hey everyone. i just put a set of bf goodrich at ta ko 295/275/16 on my truck. 2 days driving with them on my check engine light came on. could these bigger tires cause my C.E light to come on? also they rub slightly on the back side of the wheel on the bar above the trac bar. not sure what it it but it rubs only at the end of my wheel turn, so im thinking half inch or inch wheel spacer would fix that. thoughts?

If you go wheel spacers, make sure to get hubcentric. I had 2" on the rear and 1" wheel spacers on the front when I have stock wheels and tires. Didn't have a single problem with them and they all stayed torqued like they're supposed to.

I got rid of them when I bought my summit steel wheels because my bigger tires stuck out enough without them.

And I don't see how bigger tires could cause that to come on.

I got mine off ebay if you're speaking of wheel spacers. Just make sure they're the same lug pattern and hubcentric.

A lot of people don't like them and have had bad issues with them on here. I didn't find nothing wrong with them when running them. Just don't do too many burnouts or offroading with them on. It puts stress on parts around that area i heard.

i dont do any burn outs or off roading as it is, im aware of the added stress it puts on the hub. thats why i only want to go half inch....inch at most. im hoping i can find a set of 4 cheap, i see a bunch that a set of 2, who would only buy 2?

Well they sell them in sets of 2 on there. If you have a 4x4 truck, your tires are farther in the fender than your front ones.

Compare how far your back tires stick in the fender well to the front.

The front tires are closer to the edge of the fender and the rear tires are more sucked into the fender well.
