Default Anyone know where to buy or fix a AC compressor coil

I can't find JUST a clutch assembly or JUST a compressor coil.

Mine doesn't generate any magnetic field anymore.

I don't know if the diode is blown or what but it just won't pull the clutch in anymore....

O'Reilly wants me to buy an entire new compressor just for that one piece!

You can test the coil with a 12 volt battery.

Ya, I think the coil is broken.
The engineering is pretty simple in them...I wonder if I could repair my existing coil.
I would have to chisle out this ceramic crap in it and put a new copper coil in it and solder on the wires....
Sounds like a pain but damn its expensive to order a new one.

Waste of time trying to fix it IMO . Did you look at the video and test it?

yes, my bearing is fine, the coil is failing to produce a magnetic pull even when hooked up to a battery.
There is no sign of heat damage, the spacing was fine.
