Add a leaf. Or be like me and have seven leafs per side...

I have them and they work great. As I said earlier, I've had 3k+ in the bed. Simple install, just remove bumpstops and install these.

i also got 7 leafs per side in my 81. works good at keeping the back end up and can usually be done for less than $100

It really does, I had 600ibs of steel in my trucks bed and it did not squat one bit. Luckily they cost me nothing since they were there when I bought it

I had a ton of manure in the 76 and it didn't squat, just leveled out.

You could also replace the rear shocks with a set of monroe tracload shocks, they have a capacity of 2k lbs. But keep in mind that the rear end is still not going to like the weight.

^That's what a D60 swap and load rate E tires are for.

I used Firestone ride right air bags and liked them very much. I must add that going from the 4500 gvw brakes to the 8800 brakes is major improvement thing will stop on a dime.

I don't care for attempting to increase load capacity that way. The shock mounts are NOT designed to manage weight, they are just to control it. Seen too many shock mounts ripped right off the axle.

Yep. When the truck is empty, even a hard look at the brake pedal will toss you forward in the seat.
