as you can see i have a 1500, but when i see a 2500 OMG i want mine to look like that. i love the stance of it. the tough look. solid look.
what do i need to do to my 1500 to make it "look" like a 2500?

i would be willing to trade my 1500 for a 2500, yeah like that will happen.
i do plan on getting a 2.5 lift kit. to give it a higher stance. will that help?
any other ideas?

Go for 2.5 inches of lift front and rear.

Or you could just swap 2500 axles and suspension under the truck.

As everyone else has said, we need to know what it you want to achieve to help you get there. I'm assuming when you say stance you want it to sit the height of 2500. Just get gas 2500 front coil springs, and 2500 blocks as well as an added leaf. 2500 axles, dana 60's can be swapped in as well with minor modification. Search the forum for info on that, though be aware you will lose mileage from it. Cab lights and tow mirrors can both be purchased separate and added onto a 1500 no problems. My truck came with cab lights when I bought it and it is a 1500.

 

Dont forget to swap your 1500 badges for 2500 badges, otherwise it will never look like a 2500 no matter what you do.

 

^Better yet, swap the 1500 badge for a F350 badge.

I added a 3" Skyjacker lift and it looks like a 2500 now. I would maybe add 1" more to the rear but it sits perfect for me. Also added cab lights myself.
