Could check out Mr.wheeldeal.com , he gives some good prices on wheels, and can make combo rim/tire packages as well. Us canucks do have to pay duty coming in from the states though...

I tried looking on summit for you and found some. If you went 15", they would be a lot cheaper.

Not sure if this'll help or not but here ya go.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...n/5-x-5-1-2-in

I got all of my wheels brand new for 192 shipped off summit.

Look at Black Rock Wheels they are decently priced and have simple black rims, however your backspacing is going to 4.25" instead 4.5" in a 16x8

I stumbled upon that website the other day. At first it seemed kinda sketchy, but after requesting a quote on some wheels, they were very helpful and friendly. Great prices too. I would definitely consider buying from them, well, if I actually had dough for wheels...

Wish I had known about that sooner. Also, having a mailbox in the US (Houlton, ME) has been exceptionally handy at finding things a lot cheaper ;o)

Merc,

Redhunter recommended some Black Rocks and that was one of the ones I was looking at (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Steel-Rock-Series-997-Type-8-Matte-Black-Steel-Wheel-16-x10-5x5-5-BC-/111149466023?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item19e10641a7&vxp=mtr) in 16x10. It, much like yours, is a 4" BS. You say that sticks out 3" past fender - did you run into any issues with that? You mention you had better steering and better tire wear, but I always thought having tires stick out that far caused large amounts of wear on parts. Is that because they have a narrower wheel, then toss spacers on them to stick them out further?

Right now, I'm leaning towards the one I linked above or the US Wheel 044 Stealth Crawler (they look the same, but I like the unmarked center cap and I just noticed the US Wheel is a 5" backspace - good or bad?). They also have a large enough hub bore to accommodate the EMS Offroad Hub Conversion (http://www.emsoffroad.com/store/inde...roducts_id=262)

Hmm... I think I may sleep on it, read what is posted by morning, and order which ever one I decide at work tomorrow.

InfO.

Edit: Random, but this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/U-S-Wheel-044-Series-Stealth-Crawler-Black-Steel-Wheel-16-x8-5x5-5-BC-/331015397107?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item4d120e1ef3&vxp=mtrStates that it is a 5" BS, yet the offset is +13 which I think is a 6" BS. Unless they mean -13. I'll have to email and ask. Either way, the toss up is between 4" or 5" BS. I'll go with the 16x10s if others think they are worth it. I am NOT a tire guru... I learn from here, so I had originally looked at 16x8 as that seemed to be what a lot of people were using.

I very much thought the same even posted about it. In the long run parts lasted about the same time as before. You have gotten rid of one headache with the pt kit, what ball-joints are in it? I am now one of those that has to say the 44 is just not up to big tires. I still have a few bugs to work out but I am loving the 60's.

Swapping that is completely out of the question at the moment. The GF's patience is definitely wearing thin, especially since I'm also playing a lot with our '13 Focus ST ;o)

The parts I ordered were Moog - the same list you and I came up with before, and in fact I think there is a screen capture of it somewhere on here still. Oh, and it was CHEAPER to go through Amazon.com instead of Rockauto as Amazon gave me no taxes and no shipping fees.

Edit: Oh, I wasn't able to order the wheels today as we did a 13km forced ruck march and then I was out shooting 9mm all day. Any thoughts on which wheel to go with due to backspace? Looks wise, they are the same IMO. It's the BS I'm curious about.

16x10 with 4" will stick out a ways..... but, I think would be less likely to contact the control arms at full lock.

16x8 with 5" are narrower...... and might work just fine. What is recommended rim width for your tires?
