Default Power seat inquiry

I have come across a set of leather seats that I want for my '01 Ram 1500, to replace my cloth seats with. The leather seats are also in an '01 Ram 1500, but includes a power driver seat, and my (cloth) seat is not power. But, I noticed my truck does have the same wiring coming through the floor as the truck with the leather power seat does. So is that what that wiring goes to, and would the power seat work in my truck, even though it doesn't currently have a power seat?

Check the fuse block, and see if the circuit breaker is there for the power seats. Even if it isn't, you might be able to slap one in there, plug it in, and have it work.... Sometimes, though not often, it IS that easy.

Odzmaker, I would SO take you up on that deal if we could get the seats swapped reasonably. Any chance you're anywhere near southwest Missouri?

I think the shipping alone would be outrageous.

Yea, probably so. Darn it. Well, guess I'll try and deal them locally via craigslist etc. and see if I can get a trader or buyer

Ship the seats via Greyhound (yes, the bus company). I did that with the driver's seat from my Second Gen I'm parting.
