I have family that lives up there in rural maryland. However, they are kinda weird.... not sure if its them or the funky smelling well water. LOTS of sulfur.

it may rain a lot where I live, but I have a humidifier on right now... cause it's rather dry in here...
NoVA is nowhere near as humid as where I grew up (Great Lakes region).

^I went to Boot camp at Great Lakes and liked it (6/74-8/74), worked in Chicago and last but not least, Dixon Illinois.

I also lived in Lynchburg Virginia about 4 years, pretty countryside with many small rural horse farms. K.

I went to boot camp in Great Lakes from 8/87-10/87. It was almost like living in a sauna until mid-September, and training was suspended several times due to Heat Condition 3 being set. Then, we hit chill conditions in October before shipping out

I don't have any solid info but from what I hear living in Maryland is cheaper then some counties in Northern Va, like Fairfax County for example.

good good... all of you stay over THERE! Don't be moving here!

west coast is crowded enough. Don't need more easterners crowding it up even more.

GF is from maryland and is always complaining about things here, so I tell her: "well if you don't like it here, MOVE BACK!" and shes like "hell no!"

Crowded?

2013 population of Fairfax County was 1.131 million, the most populated county in Virginia with 13.6% of all state residents.
