Default interchangable parts

hey, just wondering something. are most body parts interchangable between 1500/2500/3500 trucks? i'm going to start looking for replacement doors (since my are starting to rust away). i know the junkyard has 1500's down there. are they interchangable? thanks for any input.

Yes. To a degree. Regular cab doors will interchange between regular cab trucks, and also pre-98 extended cab trucks.

If you have a 98 and up extended cab, with the rear doors as well, you can only use doors off of a similarly equipped truck. Doors are different shape. Doesn't matter what weight rating the truck is.

Regular cab doors have a rounded bottom rear corner, same with the Club Cab trucks.

Quad Cab trucks have a straight cut door corner.

ok, one more question.....does it matter if the door has manual windows? the shell is the same, right? i could transfer everything over from my door. but i wasn't sure if there was a difference in the shell itself.

What about the iWindow? You know, the ones produced by Apple? Of course there are compatibility issues........

Sorry, couldn't resist. (the reference to window operating system made me smile.)
