Default Break line advice

I have a 1999 ram 1500 5.2L 4x4 manual trans.

I have been having issues with the break lines... front to rear line broke and it sat a few months before I had it replaced.

Shortly after I noticed I had to add break fluid every now and then I thought it could have been some trapped air in the system making its way out or could it have been leaking? Now a month or so after that I broke a solid break line in the front...

I don't want to put too much money into it but it isn't in too bad of shape a little rust and drive train is strong. And I literally just bought new tires for it...

Basically should I keep chasing the breaks as they break(if they do) or replace all the steel breaklines?

You should carefully go over and examine every brake line on the truck. If it looks suspect go ahead and replace it. Air can't get out of the system unless there's a leak somewhere. Otherwise it would stay there.

The line that goes over the gas tank LOVES to rust to all hell and break at the worst possible moment

The line over the tank was the one that was already fixed.

definitely check everything over as HamBone stated. i just replaced that same line on my dad's ram 1500. most of the line looked ok, but to be safe, we replaced from the front junction to the rear. all other lines looked ok, so we didn't repalce any other lines......yet.

Agree with HB.

My suggestion- start small and make sure your bleeder screws are not leaking at the calipers/drums.
