Default Backing up with the door open

Was backing up to get the truck closer to some wood to be loaded, was a little too close to the bank and the bottom corner of the door caught and dug into the dirt while I was backing up, didn't realize it till I heard the crunch begin....

Gonna have to get a new door and new mounts....

Not good man. Pull the door panel find the sweet spot push on it and some of that dent will pop out. Can you make an insurance claim and just pay your delectable?

Should a done it when I had the 2500. It was even white. Doors were in great condition.

Everyone would think you had a 2500 too!

But that sucks man

Good luck with the hinges. IIRC, the upper hinge needs to have the dash removed. Or at least loosened enough to get in there (though not sure this will work). The bolts go from the inside-out. Sucks man.

Only one bolt from the inside. Might be able to just pull the kick panel, and get to it. (don't hold your breath though.)

Next time, just roll down the window and stick your head out.

oops.

Sometime ago they invented them little things called mirrors, they work great.

That sucks though, just be glad you didn't mess up the quarter panel anymore
