If I get a flat, I don't have time to wait for a tow truck for an easy five minute job. If the roads busy like a metropolitan I'll drive on the flat till I can get off the road.
For my own safety and the rest of the traffic.

But then again, I won't ruin a good wheel and tire.
I'll change it right where I noticed it go flat if I need too.
Traffic will stop. I'll make sure of that. Lmao. Seriously slow it down with my tire laying on the road and anything I can find to throw out there.

I've driven truck. Many years. I've broken down. I found traffic slows right down when you start throwing tree branches and rocks and tools and anything else on the road.

So, speeding cars trying to swerve around whatever you have thrown in the road is safe for who?

Just sayin, you don't mean anything to other drivers. But they're vehicle means something. They won't slow down for your safety. Your soft. But a tire on the road will hurt they're car. They'll slow down for that. I've been on the road two feet away from 70mph traffic. They will slow down for shxt that'll hurt them. They don't care about soft people. Its large hard objects that gets they're attention. I've thrown things at speeding vehicles. Its fun. They come by at 70mph with complete disregard for me its fun to watch them freak when you bounce a lug nut off they're windshield.

I've used my spare once, and that's the only time the factory spare has ever been used. I've only had to put air in it once in 7 years. I've got true dual exhaust and it clears my 265 full size spare just fine.

But checking the spare tire isn't such a bad idea...

Our 2000 Grand Caravan's spare is locked up tight underneath... Evidently the factory winches rust and then you can't get the spare off... So I just carry a full size spare with me.

Default Spare? What spare?

That cable and lock is a great idea. Went to check my spare a few months ago and the cable had been cut and the spare was gone! Happened right in my own driveway!!
