Truck in my sig. Abs/brake light only comes on when I'm going on the highway for an extended period of time. VSS on trans is new and wheel speed sensor.

I'd suspect a wiring problem with one of the speed sensors.
Your 97 doesn't have 4 wheel abs right?

No just the rear 9.25 ring gear sensor. Its a dorman replacement. The vss on the trans is new. I do get a check engine light for code 740 for lack of torque converter lockup. Could this have to do with it? The vss gear is matched to my 4.56s and 37s.

TCC lockup won't have anything to do with it.

ABS lite coming is usually that rear wheel speed sensor on the RWAL trucks. Dorman doesn't have a real good reputation on their electronic parts......
