Default Lowering rear end

I have a 2001 1500 Sport Off Road Edition that sits high in the back. It has a 3" body lift and is stock suspension wise. I don't want to level it with a spacer because a)I've read you can't on the Off Roads and b) I don't want my tires to look small (Toyo Open Country AT2s 35/12.5/r20). Does anybody know how to do this, if the ORE is any different in the rear suspension, and if this is safe to do or what else I need to do to make it safe?

You can get a smaller block or you can remove a leaf.

Any idea where I could find a smaller block? Don't really want to take out a leaf spring and can't find the smaller blacks. Read the rear blocks are 3.5" So I would need like a 2" probably. Otherwise loading up the sandbags for weight Haha

Lots of lift/lowering kits use blocks. Trouble is, on yours, the bump stops are part of the block. You could go to a junkyard, pick up a set of stock blocks, take them to a machine shop, and have them cut down......

What about lowering shackles? 1.5-2" lower for like $40-50. Seems like that could be a cheap, simple solution.
