So I have a lable on my fan shroud that reads:
!Warning!
vehical equiped with dei remote start system

Goes on to say vehical may try to start when reconecting battery. I am assuming this system has been removed before I bought it, as was the extensive sound system because I just keep finding audio wiring and disconected grounds, not to mention my power locks werent working because two wires were clearly cut.

My question being, if it were still installed is there some sort of box i will be able to see under the dash, and can I contact DEI for a new remote? Does it also control the power locks hence my cut wiring?

 

Cut wiring would indicate it has been removed. But yeah, if it's still there, should be a box under the dash on the drivers side somewhere.
